THE SKULL: TO BE OR NOT TO BE.
In all ages and civilizations since prehistoric times, the skull has always been a recurrent symbol and used in the banners in battle to incite fear:
from that of JOLLY ROGER, the flag of the western pirates, entered the collective imagination and then resumed by various special armies bodies including those of the 101th American division that made an important contribution to the landing in Normandy.
In aviation it was present in biplane squadrons at the beginning of 1900, taken as a model in the art of famous works by Salvador Dali, an icon essential in the clothing of the Bikers of our days as a spirit of freedom and transgression.
The MEC Military Watch engages with this atavistic symbol with a vintage modeling to combine the past with the present.
