Unlike in the very early days, when "military watches" were basically remakes of products originally manufactured for the soldiers, aircraft pilots and sailors of the main armies, nowadays that same definition applies to a broader set of watches, however all characterised by functions and features inspired by the military use. For example sake, M.E.C. watches feature cases with satin finish preventing the reflected light to reveal your position to the enemy. The hands are coated with luminescent material that facilitate the reading even in darkness. Cases, dials and crowns are generously proportioned to ensure a practical and safe use in all conditions.
