The Special Air Service (S.A.S.), one of the most important military corps in the world, is the UK’s main special force.
This unit was founded in 1941 in North Africa by David Stirling, a lieutenant of the Scottish Guards to carry out raids on enemy lines.

The SAS is the smallest and most secretive regiment in the UK but is at the same time one of the most popular and is now a model for many other special forces around the world.
